Dame Scarf Magyar

Her Ladyship, circa 1581/1859/2008

1560-2012

First Ambassador to Barbarous Territories; Aide-de-Camp to King Edmund

Cuntess of Paisley Roumania; Baroness of Paisley Hungary; Dame of the Order of the Pin

Of Dame Scarf and New Member Policy

During Scarf's neophyte year.
Dame Scarf Magyar was a test subject when the Glen's admission policy changed (yet again) in 1578/1856/2005. This time, it was proposed that potential Paislians be subject to a year of sponsorship, wherein they are introduced to the group by their sponsor, and are basically trained in all things Paislian. They were also to follow their sponsor's orders. Scarf complied, but this did not go over well.

Lady Magyar is not amused. Lady Magyar, upon her initiation into the Glen, was instrumental in making sure that future Neophytes would not be ordered about the way that she had been. She felt that while training might be necessary, servitude was not. Besides, did people really want their sponsorees to want revenge?

On Lady Magyar and the formation of the Privy Council

:
The first Ambassador to Barbarous Territories. During her Neophyte year, Dame Scarf practically lived at the Phoenix Down Embassy (located in Titipu, Paisley Japan), with King Edmund and Count the Dr. Raven Usher (of Paisley Russia). When Edmund thought a monthly Paislian gathering might be a good idea for promoting fellowship and legislation, she rapidly helped lay the groundwork for what would become the Privy Council. Her general assitance in all things Muffinly made her invaluable to Edmund, and she became his Aide-de-Camp, despite the fact that she was not yet a full Paislian.

'Can't you tell that they have Down's Syndrome? Why else would they act like that?'

After her initiation, she was appointed to the post of Ambassador to Barbarous Territories, which was tailored specifically for her especial talents. Her duties included telling outsiders whatever lies she wished to explain away the Paisleyans's odd actions, interacting with site officials, and generally getting outsiders to fuck off.

Scarf Magyar preens. A few months later, King Edmund was forced to accept Lady Magyar's resignation as Ambassador due to unresolvable conflicts. She continues, however, to work behind the scenes, as Aide-de-Camp and General Factorum.
